  Working at Locatory.com is both – a job and a dream come true

  Gintare Trusyte’s career started with Avia Solutions Group in April, 2011. She was initially assigned the position of an Office Manager which involved handling different documentation, communicating with many clients and guests as well as reporting to the senior management on a daily basis. Her hard-working attitude and previously hidden potential as a full-fledged manager were discerned by the company’s management. Within a year Gintare became a Customer Support Officer at Locatory.com, part of Avia Solutions Group holding company. Shortly afterwards, Gintare was offered the position of a Director of Customer Support Department.

  - What do you like the most about your job?

  Since I joined Locatory.com, the most exciting part of my job has been coming up with the innovative techniques designed to create relationships with clients. Every day I get the chance to communicate with people from a variety of regions such as China, India, Latin America, and the Middle East.

  - What is the biggest motivator for you?
  I've been always motivated by the desire to do my job well whichever position I'm working in. My goal is to ensure that all my company's clients get the best customer service I can provide. So the primary motivation for me is to build something lasting for both the company and the clients.
  
  - In your view, what is the most important aspect of creating good relations with the clients?
  Relationships with the clients should be based on mutual respect – that‘s the most important thing. My credo is ‘Be a problem solver and a solution finder’.
  
  - What makes you most qualified for this position?
  I enjoy learning new things, getting the job done, being a team player and taking on various challenging tasks. I would describe myself as patient, hardworking, and the one who takes pride in my work. I believe these qualities make me the most qualified person for this particular position.
  
  - Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
  10 years from now, I will diversify my portfolio in the Customer Support field because I see this job as an opportunity to become the best specialist in my field – by interacting with different people and integrating new working methods.
  
  - What challenges have you been faced with in the international market?
  Geographically, the emerging markets spin the globe and offer vastly diverse economic and political conditions. The emerging markets are the growth engine for most Western companies today, but naturally, I am often faced with a variety of issues, such as time differences, cultural and language barriers. Entrance into the emerging markets is a new learning experience as companies must find the best ways to adapt to new cultures and navigate their businesses according to new rules and regulations.
  
  - How do you manage to coordinate business with clients who speak a variety of different languages?
  Communicating with clients from all over the world might seem more difficult than it actually is. Many people point to the time differences; however, our team is available 24/7. The main thing is to have strong communication skills if your clients are in different time zones and speak in different languages.
  
  - What makes you different from the others?
  Given the fact that my job requires me to interact with foreign clients my ability gives me an edge in understanding the needs of the client and deliver the service as desired. I’m responsible, persistent and friendly. I don’t find it difficult to communicate with people from all over the world – I think that’s the most important thing.

  Ramojus was offered a position as an Account Manager at Locatory.com. He was surprised at how quickly he was made responsible for major accounts. Shortly afterwards, Ramojus became the leading account manager in the company. His motivation is based not only on the career opportunities, but also on the fact that he is constantly learning something new.

  - What do you like the most about your job?
  At the very core of every organization are its people - I communicate with top level managers from multi-million dollar businesses. These people a far more open than one could imagine.

  - Are the any boundaries on with regard to where you cannot go or what you cannot do?
  I think this mainly depends on the environment you are in, you often do things in extreme situations that you would not do otherwise.

  - What is the biggest motivator for you?
  If we are talking about the work, then I would say it is wealth and new skills that you gain and how much you can improve yourself.

  - What challenges you the most?
  Things I have no experience in are always challenging, at least they look so until you start doing them.

  - In your view, what is the most important aspect of creating good relations with the clients?
  Personal attention to every client and personal attention to his business - the devil is in the details.

  - What makes you the most qualified for this position?
  My CEO Zilvinas Sadauskas and my CCO Agne Jonauskaite, I think they made me quite qualified.

  - Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
  I see myself being 39. As concerns everything else, I’m not much of a prophet. I think the present is the most important; future is inevitable anyway, so if you pay enough attention to the present, then the future should be quite enjoyable.

  - What are the difficulties related to working with the emerging markets?
  It is sometimes hard to work with the people who do not understand or do not accept a standard practice of doing business, do not use models that have already been proven to work in the Western markets for quite some time now. From my point of view it looks like it would be much easier if they accepted one standard practice of doing things. Then probably there is the question who should adapt to whom? The ones who have the money or the ones that have the goods? I would guess the answer is somewhere in between. Locatory.com is working on solving this issue and I think we are doing it quite well.

  - What challenges have you been faced with in the international market?
  Languages, cultural differences, borders, time difference - the usual stuff.

  - How do you manage to coordinate business with the clients who speak a variety of different languages?
  Locatory.com have got this part covered. I think it enables communication between people who otherwise could not work together at all and numbers are always a universal language. It is always good to talk numbers and Locatory.com is a polyglot.

  - What makes you different from the others?
  I have no idea, I think this could be more obvious when looking from the distance; unfortunately it’s hard for me to do that. Besides all “others” are different too it’s not like there are two persons in the world - me and “others”.

  - Live versus Virtual – can they live under one roof?
  Live usually lives under real roof and virtual usually lives under virtual roof, I, however, think that these two roofs are coexisting quite well and we have arrived at the point where one can't be without another. It should probably be ’Live and Virtual’ as opposed to ‘Live versus Virtual’.
